Leadership is about finding your unique blueprint and expressing it courageously, confidently and vulnerably – Jennifer Mulholland
I am glad to have been part of this auspicious moment #MyAswearinginceremony2020 which is a very historic and nostalgic moment for me and for this country.
I keep saying that this country is not devoid of transformational youthful leaders because the young men and women of this country are ready!
Let me take this opportunity to congratulate the president-elect of the Mombasa Youth Assembly and the entire house for taking their oath of office. I believe you all have the zeal and what it takes to move Mombasa Youth Assembly to the next level.
I also congratulate the former president and the team for their resilience and selfness for the Betterment of our future generations.
I believe by offering guidance and mentoring one another we are able to achieve a lot together.
Mitchell Obama in her book, “BECOMING” says;
“Your story is what you have, what you will always have. It is something to own.”
When I was giving the MYA story during that auspicious day, I had a personal reflection of my days in the assembly. I am glad to have served as the MP, Cabinet Secretary for Security and Cabinet Secretary for Information, Innovation and Communication and as I leave to other endeavours I take with me the experience and spirit of unity and galvanisation.

This country will not be fixed by anyone else but us young people.

Together we stand! Ubuntu!

God bless MYA! God bless Kenya.
