In October 2022, African Coaching Network (ACN) hosted its annual member retreat in Accra Ghana.
The retreat was attended by ACN members, Donors and Friends of ACN. Eight new members from different countries were symbolically welcomed on board. The retreat which is held annually accorded an opportunity for members to reflect on what’s working and what’s not working. It was an opportunity to revise the curriculum and develop new strategies for the coming year.
During the retreat the new coaches who had just finished conducting first exposure trainings (FETs) as part of their induction were given an opportunity to analyse and reflect on how our training impact movements.
Additionally, each member was given an opportunity to present on the context analysis of their country and or region, and they gave a short presentation of the needs assessment of each movement they mapped so as to revise the curriculum to suit the new needs of movements but remain committed to our non-violence strategy.
The retreat was ended by setting priorities and tactics for the next year.
